How it asks

MentionSweep sends questions to each AI provider's API, not through the consumer apps. ChatGPT and Gemini are asked without web search, so their answers show what the models say on their own. Perplexity searches the web, so its answers come with cited sources. AI answers vary from run to run, so a single result is a snapshot. Trends over several weeks are more reliable.

What MentionSweep is not

• Not a social-listening or media-monitoring tool. It doesn't track mentions of your brand on social media, news sites, Reddit or forums. It checks what AI assistants say when asked buyer questions.
• Not affiliated with Mentions (mentions.so) or Mention (mention.com). They are separate companies with similar names.
• Not affiliated with OpenAI, Google or Perplexity. We use their public APIs.
