This policy explains what MentionSweep ("we") collects when you use MentionSweep, why, and your choices. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Email address: when you request a free score or sign in.
- What you enter: brand name, domain, category, prompts and competitor names.
- Results: AI answers we receive, scores and run history.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your plan and a Stripe customer ID, never your full card number.
- Technical data: IP address (used for abuse prevention and rate limiting) and basic server logs.
How we use it
- To run the Service: generate scores, run weekly checks, and send your reports and sign-in links.
- To prevent abuse (for example limiting free scores per IP address and email).
- To send product updates and tips only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- To publish aggregated, de-identified research (never your email or private account data).
We don't sell your personal information and don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us operate: AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity) receive the prompts plus your brand/category context, not your email; our hosting, database, email-delivery (e.g. Resend) and payment (Stripe) providers. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Free-score leads and results are kept up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Rate-limit records are deleted automatically after they expire.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or withdraw marketing consent, by emailing support@mentionsweep.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California) you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll post updates here and notify you by email for material changes.
