MentionSweep is for founders and small teams who first want to know whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend them at all, and what to fix, without starting a subscription. You can start with a free score, buy a one-time $29 Full Report, and add $39/month monitoring only if you want ongoing data.
If you already know you need daily tracking, Otterly is the better fit. If you want a one-time answer and a fix list, MentionSweep is the cheaper way to get it.

Pick Otterly if any of these are true:
- You need daily data, not weekly or one-off.
- You need Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, AI Mode or Claude.
- Several people need access, or you report to clients in Looker Studio.
- You track hundreds of prompts across products or markets.
MentionSweep doesn't do these, and we'd rather you pick the right tool.
How the two count "prompts"
Otterly's Lite plan gives 15 prompts tracked daily, so each prompt is re-checked every day across its 4 engines. MentionSweep's Full Report asks 50 questions once on each of 3 engines. The two numbers measure different things: Otterly gives you more runs per question over time, and MentionSweep gives you more questions in a single snapshot. Decide which you need: breadth now, or the same questions tracked over time.
A note on accuracy
AI assistants don't give the same answer every time. A single run, from any tool, is a snapshot. MentionSweep asks the AI models through their official APIs. ChatGPT and Gemini are asked without web search, and Perplexity answers with its own web search, so results can differ from what a signed-in user sees in the ChatGPT app with search on. Treat any score as a direction, and re-check after you make changes.
